afghanip.com indexes the trademark issues of the Official Gazette of Afghanistan (رسمی جریده، اعلانات ثبت اسناد و علایم تجارتی), published by the Ministry of Justice for the General Directorate of Central Registration and Intellectual Property (ACBR-IP).

How the data is collected

Afghanistan has no public online trademark register, and ACBR-IP does not publish its records on the web. Each trademark issue of the Official Gazette is collected, in digital form or as a scanned paper copy, read by OCR in Dari, Pashto and English, and checked by our staff before it appears here. Owner names, addresses and goods are translated into English; the Dari text is shown next to each translation.

Applications are published once. Anyone may oppose within 21 working days of publication by petition to ACBR-IP. The deadline on each record counts Fridays as non-working days and doesn't account for public holidays. Confirm it with the office or with us before relying on it.

Older registrations that pre-date the indexed issues, and international registrations designating Afghanistan under the Madrid Protocol (in force for Afghanistan since 26 June 2018), are not yet fully covered. Ask us for an official search when you need certainty.
